My New Year’s resolution is simple.. to make 2012 as memorable as 2011

As 2011 came to a close, I began to reminisce about the things that happened in my life over the past 12 months and boy what a year 2011 was.  I delivered a healthy 7lb 4oz baby girl at home as planned. Yes a natural home birth! What a great experience.  A successful home birth ranks very high on my list of life accomplishments. After the home birth, I took three full months off – no work – just great quality time with my family.  Now that was super hard, because it meant that I couldn’t commit to some of the seasonal photography gigs, but it was time well spent recovering from the birth and getting acquainted with the little one and my new role. Other milestones during the past year include –  I went to see a chiropractor for the first time in my life and boy was I relieved and educated about the benefits of a healthy spine.  I managed to purge my photo files both electronic and hard copy – this was a hard task. I resisted the urge to buy a new car. I reconnected with old friends and strengthened my relationship with my baby sister.  I am so grateful for every day of my life and I look forward to building another chapter of special memories in 2012. So my New Year’s resolution is simple.. to make 2012 as memorable as 2011.
